Legislative resolution calls for Cal. Supreme Court to reverse home school ruling

Karen England of the Capital Resource Institute has released this report on a pending resolution in the legislature. The report provides the text of the resolution and observes:

CRFI ally Assemblyman Joel Anderson has taken the first step in protecting parents’ rights to home school by introducing a concurrent resolution in the Assembly, calling on the California Supreme Court to reverse the lower court’s decision . . . As we move forward with our defense of homeschooling, it is imperative that we make our voices heard.

Every concerned California resident should call their assemblyman and senator and urge them to become a co-sponsor of Assemblyman Anderson’s homeschool resolution.

From the resolution:

RESOLVED, by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate thereof concurring, that the Legislature hereby calls upon the California Supreme Court to reverse the opinion.

RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.

Assemblyman Joel Anderson is a true representative for our families and should be complimented for his efforts and quick action to correct a direct attack on the family. Assemblyman Anderson was the only California Legislator available to our group on Lobby Day.
