Minnesota: Hearing on sexually oriented businesses draws big crowd

Monday’s Hastings Planning Commission meeting had all the trappings of a good movie: impassioned speeches with calls to stand up and fight, rounds of applause, a standing ovation and talk of strip clubs and adult bookstores.
Unfortunately, for those in attendance, the situation is all too real.
The city is proposing changing the zoning in some areas of the Hastings Business and Industrial Park to allow “adult use” businesses, which includes things like strip clubs and adult bookstores.
