A measure that would amend Pennsylvania’s Constitution to define marriage between a man and a woman is before the state’s Senate Judiciary Committee with a public hearing being held today and a vote scheduled for tomorrow. Pennsylvania’s move to preserve the traditional definition of marriage comes at a time when courts in California and Connecticut are contemplating legalizing same-sex marriage on constitutional grounds.
