Top 10 Appeals Court Nominees Needing Quick Confirmation

Human Events reports:

Ten of President Bush’s 2007 Circuit Court of Appeals nominees have yet to be confirmed by the Democrat-controlled Senate — in fact, most of them have not even had hearings yet. Seven of the 10 nominations are to fill spots that have been declared “judicial emergencies.” A judicial emergency is defined by Justice as “any vacancy in a court of appeals where adjusted filings per panel are in excess of 700 or any vacancy in existence more than 18 months where adjusted filings are between 500 and 700 per panel.”
