SD school district reverses course on pro-life facility use
A South Dakota school district has backed down in the face of a lawsuit by a pro-life group that contends it refused access to its buildings for events. Rapid City Area School District lawyers said the school never refused the group access, but went along with a settlement on Tuesday and said the buildings will be available.
The district has a policy preventing religious and political groups from using its facilities . . . Attorneys for the Alliance Defense Fund sued the district saying it abrogated Citizens for Life’s free speech by allowing other groups to use the building.
