Arizona Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Revived!

The Center for Arizona Policy provides this update on the legislation recently vetoed by Arizona’s governor. It reports:

Today, the House Natural Resources and Public Safety Committee approved SB 1048 by a vote of 6-3, which presents another opportunity to ban partial-birth abortion in Arizona. This new bill addresses the two concerns the Governor identified in her veto letter (http://www.azleg.gov/govlettr/48leg/2R/HB2769.pdf) and is otherwise identical to the partial-birth abortion bill that was vetoed last week. SB 1048 must receive final approval from the House and Senate before it goes back to the Governor.
