Bill targeting coerced abortions passes Missouri House



St. Louis Today reports:

The Missouri House has voted to make it a crime to coerce someone to have an abortion. In a highly emotional debate Tuesday, bill critics and supporters exchanged pointed jabs and questioned one another’s motives. Afterward, representatives gave first-round approval Tuesday evening to legislation to make it a crime if someone “coerces a woman to seek or obtain an abortion.”
