A deal between Michigan’s senators and the Bush administration has ended a bitter fight over federal judicial appointments and cleared the way to a federal appeals court for a Michigan judge first nominated more than a decade ago.
Helene White, a Michigan Court of Appeals judge, is expected to win confirmation to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which hears cases from Michigan and other Midwestern states.
