Houston Pastors Council Reports Liberal Group for IRS Violation
Liberty Legal Institute issued this press release on Monday. It begins: “Today, the Houston Area Pastors Council (HAPC), represented by the Liberty Legal Institute, sent a letter to the IRS accusing the Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) of attempting to influence elections.”

I don’t know what is the right thing to do about this. There are churches in which the poeple are encouraged to vote for certain parties or officials and nothing is ever said. Why don’t they do something, if they are going to prosecute this church to the church that Jeremiah Wright pastor and Rev. Meeks church and Jesse Jackson going to church and espousing his political garbage.
When the late Jerry Falwell made a statement about elections and when Rod Parsley and Jimmy Swaggart they want to take their NFP status away, because these are conservatives not liberals.
But on the other hand, all churches should be allowed whether liberal or conservative and not lose there status.
This is what I call freedom of speech.
