Polygamist clothing, the media, and a dose of modesty
A casual walk through any women’s clothing store readily demonstrates that modesty is not in fashion. This holds true for the young ladies as well. Fashion designers seem to believe every five year old girl ought to reveal her body like Britney Spears.
Given this state of affairs, it is not surprising to see the “mainstream media” preoccupied with stories like this: Polygamist clothing has roots in 19th century and 1950s.
This morning Laura Ingraham even took notice on her radio show. She pointed out that some fashion designers think this so-called prairie wear could make a comeback.
Who knows, Americans might even rediscover the meaning of modesty.

The female tv newscasters have done a great disservice to set the tone of what women and girls ought to wear.
