Kansas Senate Expected to Vote Wednesday on Overturning Abortion Bill Veto

Kansas lawmakers return to Topeka, on Wednesday and members of the Senate are expected to vote on overturning a veto from Gov. Kathleen Sebelius on a measure that would reduce abortions. Sebelius claimed the bill would make it hard for women to get abortions in the extremely rare case to save their lives . . .

“The truth is that she vetoed this reasonable abortion bill because she is unreasonably indebted to the Kansas abortion industry,” Kansans for Life director Mary Kay Culp told LifeNews.com.

“The real question Sebelius must answer is why she would veto a law which simply gives women more information when considering abortion,” Culp added . . .
