TN: ACLU threatens school principal for “outing” students

365Gay.com has this report that begins:

A public high school principal who posted the names of two boys on a list of students believed to be couples, revealing their relationship to their parents as well as other students and teachers, violated the students’ constitutional right to freedom of association, the American Civil Liberties Union charged Tuesday.

In a letter to school board officials in Memphis, the ACLU demanded that the school reprimand the principal and take steps to ensure such actions never happen again.

The ACLU has issued this press release which links to the demand letter.

Is anybody going to help defend this principal? He is worth it! God bless this high school principal. We need more public school educators like him.

Frankly no,,in this case the principal should have first called in the two students…had a talk…ie parents, other students..then after some deep thought..contact the parents of each..but never publish anything for others to make fun of plus they then can be made martyrs for their cause by such as aclu..etc…

It takes courage and the power of the Holy Spirit to point out the evils of those things which are clearly repugnant to the Word of God when the prevailing cultural view is to accept it. If we care for the souls of other people we will warn them of the wrath to come but, we must always do so lovingly. Resorting to public humiliation is not the answer and quite frankly, not very loving. We have a loving, merciful Heavenly Father whose mercy and tenderness towards sinners was made visible in our Lord Jesus Christ. We must always be ready to present Christ to those who are lost. Only He can set people free from whatever sin has them enslaved. I think we must always prayerfully consider how we approach people. We are to love people to Christ, not humiliate them.
