Massachusetts: Adult zoning gets tentative OK



The Worcester Telegram & Gazette News reports:

. . . By a unanimous vote, the City Council last night gave preliminary approval to an amendment allowing adult entertainment establishments in certain parts of the downtown while still precluding them from most of the central business district.

The amendment prohibits the granting of a special permit for an adult entertainment establishment within 500 feet of four categories of land uses within a BG-6 zone. Those land uses are: residentially zoned areas, the Worcester Public Library, licensed pouring establishments and other adult entertainment establishments . . .
