Oppose media manipulation of headlines in the marriage definition debate
Cathi Herrod, President of the Center for Arizona Policy and Peter Gentela, General Counsel for the Center for Arizona Policy wrote this article that appears in the Arizona Republic. It advocates adoption of a state marriage amendment. Throughout the article they speak of marriage definition and redefinition. The word “gay” does not appear in their article. The phrase “same-sex relationships” is mentioned one time.
The Arizona Republic attached this headline to their article: “We must prevent gay marriage in Arizona.”
This is an obvious example of a much larger media integrity problem.
The real battle here is about the definition of marriage or its redefinition. Unfortunately, most media outlets have a policy of manipulating stories and/or headlines to ensure that it is always about “gay marriage,” a phrase that favors those who would redefine marriage and that is less accurate in conveying what the debate is truly about. Usage of the phrase “same sex marriage” also presumes that there is such a thing.
Pro-family advocates should watch for dishonest media manipulation through terminology and oppose it at every opportunity.

The entire Mainstream media and so-called ,Fair and Balanced ,FOX NEWS NETWORK have a gag-order ,from their bosses ,NEVER say or report anything negative about homosexuality. homosexuals and their advocates ,control the media,entertainment, the Catholic Church, with their awesome POWER. BECAUSE OF THIS POWER, freedoms of Speech and Religion in America ,will be things of the past.
Definitely there is bias in the media and not only that, manipulation of the facts to seem otherwise. Such reporters and editors who allow such should be replaced with fair-minded persons. Truly, there are unscrupulous power-hungry individuals who forsake all others.
The news industry will stretch any truth or craft any lie to further Satan’s agenda.
