Ontario: Christian Ministry fined $23K for firing employee who engaged in homosexual behavior

LifeSiteNews reports:

In what is being described as “another blow to religious liberty” in Canada, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario has ordered a Christian organization to cease using an employment contract which has staff promise they will not engage in “homosexual relationships.” Moreover, the ruling demands that the organization pay $23,000, plus two years wages and benefits to a woman who signed onto the contract and then entered a homosexual relationship and was subsequently dismissed.

Why not let the Canadian Islamic Congress handle this one and they be the judge of what is right and what is wrong … they seem to have that ability to make this type of judgement call. Imagine if the Islamic congress hired this women (oops women have no rights in their choice of sex or jobs) and then watch the Canadian Human Rights Commission defend Islamic rights to their beliefs.

I’m referring to the Speech Police/Canada’s Human Rights Commission article from December 2007 in the related list…

Just figured it out, the Canadian Human Rights Commission is Islamic… tah dah.

Yes, it turns out that religious people have to obey the law too. What a bummer. My personal God says I don’t have to pay taxes, and I can cut in line at the grocery counter. But these oppressive secular infidels refuse to let me do that. Where is the world going to.

If lesbianism can void contracts and insure your keeping a job you would otherwise lose due to misconductor or inappropriate behavior, then it more of a priveleged status than a “human right”.
The political elites have such a contempt for social mores, traditionand individual liberty that it can only be considered arrogance.
Does government by the “Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario” sound dictatorial and Big Brotherish to you?

Sex preference is not a right.

God gave us certain unalienable rights. Gender and race are a right, something God given. Sex is NOT A RIGHT! It is forbidden to have sex with a animal. Sodomy is also forbidden. This has been true throughout history.

We have GOVERNMENTS all over the world who have turned ANIMALISTIC. Their desire for the extraordinary and the love of money is causing the destruction of all that is good and true.

We all know how this ends. Don’t we!

This is so disgusting. No child should have to know about their teachers being homosexual. Why do our children have to grow up any faster than they do. The Bible is the Truth. I am happy the person stood up for what is really right…homosexually is an abomination to God. There is countless proofs the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I pray we all wake up.

And WHO signed that contract? The employee has no one to blame but herself–if it was going to be a problem, she shouldn’t have bound herself by contract. Another misstep by the so-called “Human Rights” Tribunal. Since when was it a human right to violate a contract that was voluntarily agreed upon?
