Michigan: Ferndale contests ACLU legal fees, says $178K over anti-honking policy is excessive
The city is contesting the amount of money the American Civil Liberties Union wants Ferndale to pay after it lost a civil lawsuit over its anti-honking policy against protesters.
The ACLU of Michigan won the case earlier this year in federal court and is entitled to recover attorney fees and costs. The ACLU early this month filed a motion seeking $178,877.
