Liberty Counsel to request stay and rehearing of Cal. marriage decision
Liberty Counsel has issued this press release that begins:
Tomorrow, Liberty Counsel will file a motion with the California Supreme Court asking the Court to reconsider its ruling, which struck down the state marriage laws because of serious unintended consequences that the Court failed to address. Liberty Counsel’s filing will point out that the Court has unwittingly created a system that hopelessly entangles property, custody, visitation and other rights that will travel like a tsunami, wreaking havoc on couples in California and other states.
