Quebec Report on Cultural Accommodation Issued; Crucifix in the eye of the stormThe Religion Clause Blog reports: “In Canada last week, Quebec’s Consultation Commission on Accommodation Practices Related to Cultural Differences (also known as the Bouchard-Taylor Commission) issued its final report.” One of its recommendation is to remove religious symbls from public life. It specifically mentions a crucifix hanging in the National Assembly. In response, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution honoring the crucifix and its religious heritage.
