The best way to encourage marriage is to not flaunt sex out of wedlock. When watching TV, most sexual encounters are outside the boundaries of marriage, which is what our teenagers have been watching for decades. TV rarely depicts consequences for sex outside of a committed marriage. Just what are some of those consequences? pregnancies, babies, abortions, abandonment, joblessness, abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, just to name a few. The WSJ author has it wrong--homosexual marriage does not eliminate any of these consequences of sex outside of a committed marriage.
