Idaho to pay ACLU $66,000 in legal fees from abortion lawsuit, more than $400K paid in last 10 years
The state of Idaho must pay the American Civil Liberties Union another $66,000 for legal fees from a 2005 lawsuit over faulty abortion legislation. That boosts the extra costs of years of failed attempts at parental consent legislation to more than $400,000 over the past decade, all of which has gone to cover attorney fees for the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, which defeated two attempts to make minor girls get their parents’ OK before they can get abortions . . .
