You still fail utterly to explain why the civil rights of a minority should be subject to voter approval. There is no harm to society, or you from any of these statutes

Generally speaking, most social conservatives disagree that minority status should be afforded based on sexual behavior. As to voting on civil rights, you need to be more specific. As a general proposition, most social conservatives favor equal rights for all people. In fact, for many that is a religious proposition in addition to a civil principle.

In the case of marriage, however, the debate is not about “equality.” The debate is about the definition of an institution - marriage — and whether or not it should retain a privileged status in society.

Sexual orientation is an innate part of personhood. This is not about sexual behavior

Scientifically speaking, the verdict is still out as to the cause(s) of sexual orientation. In any event, the cause is irrelevant in this policy discussion.

Sexual desires are not regulated by the government. The government regulates conduct.
