What Did the Framers Have in Mind?
Stanley Fish has this article on the NY Times. He writes: “Whatever side of the Second Amendment controversy you may be on, the clear winner in District of Columbia v. Heller (striking down a Washington, D.C., ban on hand guns) was intentionalism, the thesis that a text means what its author or authors intend.”

Intentionalism - What an utterly shocking concept!!! That we should have stick to the author’s meaning rather than simply make up our own to suit our agendas?! The next thing the right will claim is that we’re actually supposed to do what the Bible says too!! I mean really. Why, that’s just intolerant of my make believe world!
