Mass. House votes to sanction nonresident same-sex “marriages”

The AP reports:

The Massachusetts House voted Tuesday to repeal a 1913 law that had been used to block gay marriages involving out-of-state couples, all but assuring that the state will lay out the welcome mat for such weddings.

The 118-35 vote came after the state Senate voted for the repeal earlier this month, and Gov. Deval Patrick has said he will sign the bill . . .

The Massachusetts Family Institute has issued this press release.

I think we can now officially rename Massachusetts from “The Bay State” to “The GAY State.” That shouldn’t upset anyone in Massachusetts. After all, their elected officials are representing them in this issue.
