TX: AG Abbott Takes Action To Uphold ‘ Moment Of Silence’ Statute

A press release from the office of Texas AG Greg Abbott:

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott defended the right of Texas schoolchildren to begin each school day with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a minute of silence to “reflect, pray, [or] meditate” before class. In a brief filed Friday with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Attorney General Abbott argued that Texas’ moment of silence statute is entirely constitutional. In January, a federal district judge rejected a North Texas couple’s challenge to the law. Solicitor General James Ho will appear before the appeals court on behalf of the state.

the fascist aclu has always fought against a ‘moment of silence’ because some one might be praying..the ultimate in thought control by these wierdos! An enforced moment now and then of silence is excellent for students..as a former high school teacher of some 30 years nothing can be finer then to be in carolina in the morning.no..I also taught advertising and subliminal seduction..nothing is better for kids then reflection in silence..this is a on purpose..noisy culture..the flicks are fast on purpose ,very few scenes in movies last more then 5 seconds..this way no thinking is allowed etc etc…kinda like me sending these comments to where?……
