Arizona: School sued after banning Awana flyers
OneNewsNow reports:
Arizona’s Maricopa Unified School District has a policy that allows nonprofit groups to hand out literature to students, but only if the literature is not religious. When the school refused to distribute flyers promoting a local Awana program, the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) sued on behalf of the First Baptist Church of Maricopa. Jeremy Tedesco, legal counsel for ADF, says the school district backed down before the case went to trial.
