GLAAD: Ark. adoption ban opponents to challenge certified signatures

On Monday, the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office announced that after a second batch of petition signatures was submitted by the Arkansas Family Council Action Committee, a measure to ban all unmarried cohabiting couples from adopting or fostering children will appear on the November 4 ballot. The office certified that 85,379 signatures are valid, far surpassing the 61,794-signature requirement.
