Lawsuit involving ‘kissing cops’ settled
Boward County, Florida, has settled a lawsuit involving the harassment of marriage amendment petition workers.
Volunteers for Florida Family Policy Council were circulating the petitions at a June 2006 Promise Keepers event when police in the town of Sunrise began harassing them. Rick Nelson of the American Liberties Institute and Alliance Defense Fund says one officer was especially rude.
