NC: County Approves Facility For Eid-al-Adha Slaughter



The Herald-NC reports: “Eddie Rowe said the controversy dates back to 2005, when the state Department of Agriculture caught wind of a religious ritual involving mass slaughter. For years, Rowe said, hundreds of Muslim families in Wake County had arranged to buy and kill the animals as part of the three-day religious festival known as Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice.”
