I have to hand it to the HRC — their CEI buyer guides are useful. Just have to remember that red means go and green means stop. With the exception of my car (I was looking to get a Nissan as a replacement, but I’m Hebrew and despite their name they don’t treat Jews necessarily… well), which I’m going to get replaced, I’ve managed to avoid directly buying from all of the last batch of “green” companies, and only buy from “yellow” companies when the change from the previous CEI had them in the “green” area.

Happily also, I live in an area where Meijer Stores are located. They always get zero ratings from the HRC — a move that has labeled them anti-gay bigots by some. But, they are not above giving militant homosexuals managerial jobs at their stores, or selling a whole lot of Kraft Foods items.
