AR Appellate Court upholds divorce decree stipulating children will be raised Protestant



The Religion Clause Blog reports on the ruling and observes that the decree was founded on a agreement between the parties.  The father had left the Baptist Church to become Mormon and was apparently held in contempt for promoting the LDS faith to the children.  “As part of its findings in the contempt proceeding, the trial court concluded that the LDS church is not a Protestant faith.”
