Maryland: Laurel pastors take up cry against slots at 23 churches



The Maryland Gazette has this report on the debate over proposed Maryland slots that also discusses ADF’s Pulpit Initiative.  The report indicates:

. . . But what made this speech particularly compelling was that the voice behind it, the Bishop Randolph Gurley, senior pastor of The Tabernacle Church in Laurel, was using his pulpit Sunday to warn his congregation of the dangers of legalizing slot machines. And, he had a lot of clerical company.

Pastors at the 23 churches affiliated with the Laurel Clergy Association are all sermonizing against the referendum throughout  the month leading up to the Nov. 4 election . . .
