Oregon: “Board silences pro-life event: School Board ‘revisiting controversial topics policy’”

EONow.com reports

The Pendleton School Board has silenced a protest against abortion at Pendleton High School.

Today, a group of students had planned to don red arm bands and spend the day in silence in a “Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity.” The word “Life” written in permanent marker on the armbands would speak for them, along with fliers explaining their objections to “over 4,000 American citizens … silenced against their will” each day . . .

Neal said the Alliance Defense Fund, a group that defends religious liberty, is interested in the board’s decision and has litigated against school districts in the past.

Joshua Bollinger, an attorney for ADF, acknowledged his group is looking at the decision . . .

ADF attorney Joshua Bollinger and ADF Director of Media Relations Greg Scott are both quoted in the report.
