‘Privacy’ Excusing Culture Of Death

John P. Connolly, interviews Janet E. Smith about her book, The Right to Privacy, in the Philadelphia Bulletin:

Ms. Smith said there is a legitimate right to privacy, which extends as far as it does not trample the rights of others or harm the common good of society. Abortion violates the fundamental right to life of the unborn and harms the mother. She contends that her purpose in writing the book was to show the connections between seemingly disparate issues and how they all work to harm people or the common good: contraception, abortion, assisted suicide and same-sex unions.
