Maine pastors oppose Sunday morning casino hours

The Maine Family Policy Council has forwarded an email that reports:

Out of state casino interests aren’t satisfied with sucking millions of dollars out of the northern Maine economy. According to their calculations they can get another three million dollars next year if they open Hollywood Slots on Sunday mornings . . .

At least eight pastors, seven from the Bangor area, are concerned enough to take time from busy holiday schedules to attend the Control Board Meeting on Wednesday at 12:30 pm . . .

Citizens are encouraged to attend the Control Board meetings. They are held in Augusta at the Department of Public Safety Building, 45 Commerce Drive in the Gambling Control Board Room.

Citizens interested in more information can contact Rev. Jerry Mick, Pastor of Bangor Baptist Church . . .
