National Review Bench Memos reports: “President-elect Obama has announced he will tap Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan to be the next Solicitor General.  Kagan has relatively little court experience, but is widely respected for her intellect and legal acumen.  She held several legal positions in the Clinton Adminsitration and was nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit but never confirmed . . . ”
