U.S. Supreme Court refuses to decide case involving city council prayers

The Religion Clause Blog reports that the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the Turner v. City Council of Fredericksburg, (Docket No. 08-518). The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the city’s requirement that prayers be nondenominational.
