Annie Laurie Gaylor, co-president of the Madison-based Freedom From Religion Foundation, confirmed Wednesday that her organization has withdrawn its appeal of a suit filed over the city’s display of a nativity scene at City Hall over Christmas 2007.
“We withdrew because the facts did not support an appeal, since there wasn’t a recurrence of violation and the city was on record saying there wouldn’t be any,” Gaylor said . . .
