Finally, pollsters sought to find out about what to do about prohibiting gays from adopting children. A majority favored doing away with the state law that bans gays from adopting. 39 percent wanted to keep the ban in place. Democrats and independents both favored eliminating the ban, while Republicans and Evangelicals supported keeping the ban in place.
