Michigan House panel OKs bill for second parent adoptions

Dawson Bell reports in the Detroit Free Press: “A sharply divided state House committee approved legislation today to authorize ‘second parent’ adoptions in Michigan, a change that would allow unmarried or same-sex partners to jointly adopt a child.”
