AP: “Utah prime location for gay-rights movement”
The Salt Lake Tribune has posted this AP propaganda: “Utah ‘is the perfect place in the country’ to have the gay rights conversation, said Larabee, noting the church’s own history. The Mormon church has struggled for mainstream acceptance and once fought for an alternative to traditional marriage — polygamy.”

The struggle of the Mormon Church, or to be correct, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has never been for “mainstream acceptance,” and polygamy was never something they “fought for.”
The struggle always was to do what was right in the face of horrible persecution, being driven from place to place and deprived of all their worldly property, suffering exposure, raping, beatings, and murder at the hands of those who hated them.
The struggle was to stand true and faithful and obedient to the God of Heaven who spoke to them and guided them by revelation through a living prophet, even when they were outrageously maligned for making such an astounding claim, and still are maligned for still making that claim.
The struggle was always to overcome the “natural man,” which is an “enemy” to God, or in other words, to have dominion over self. The struggle was to overcome the world, with all its lusts for power, wealth, fame and greed.
To say the Church always struggled for “mainstream acceptance” is to be ignorant of the Mormon Church and all it stands for and believes in. It’s like saying that God is struggling for acceptance by the human race, a laughable idea, instead of the fact that we are required by God to live so as to be acceptable to HIM.
