First Amendment Center (AP): “The state Supreme Court on June 4 rejected a conservative Christian legal group’s request to throw out the Florida Bar’s friend-of-the-court brief against the state’s ban on gay adoption . . . Liberty Counsel founder and president Mathew Staver said his Orlando-based organization is giving strong consideration to appealing the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court and suing the bar in a federal court. ‘We will not sit back and allow the bar to take positions on politically divisive issues,’ Staver said.”
