SC abortion protest dispute moves closer to trial

Phil Sarata reports in the Times & Democrat: “It has become more likely that a state GOP official’s lawsuit against the City of Orangeburg over an abortion protest will go to trial. The Rev. Charles Butler and the city had both asked U.S. District Judge Margaret B. Seymour to rule on the lawsuit without a trial. She denied those motions during a hearing Thursday.”
