BHUBANESWAR, India — The Alliance Defense Fund is providing new funding to defend the legal rights of Christians being harshly persecuted by Hindu extremists in India. The project, established by the Christian Legal Association, a national network of legal professionals in India affiliated with Advocates International, will employ seven attorneys, six activists, and 10 part-time volunteers to assist in putting an end to the violence by working together with public officials to enforce the law.
