For those outside Ohio – please ask your pastor if he has colleagues/affiliates in Ohio ministry so that this message can be forwarded to them. If the people who go to church don’t show up on Election Day – the casino industry will capture Ohio. This will send a horrid message across the nation and encourage corrupt politicians to get in bed even deeper with the casino industry. One of America’s untold stories is how deeply casino dollars are driving the agenda of both Republican and Democrat leaders today. This is a grave danger for 2010 and 2012. Next Tuesday, November 3rd, the casino industry is planning on adding Ohio to its list of conquered states. They plan to open four casinos statewide and create a whole new generation of addicts. The gambling bosses readily admit their new casinos will draw mostly Ohio patrons and that lots of them will get hooked. They make no apologies for their plan to drain two billion dollars per year mostly from Ohioans. They are proud to take over the Ohio Constitution – even though the key players backing Issue 3 cannot even vote in Ohio because they don’t live here. Polls show they will win – unless people who oppose casino gambling go to the polls on Tuesday, November 3rd. The gambling bosses will win – unless we step up to the plate THIS WEEK! There are no legal dangers to your full participation in fighting Issue 3. State and federal law permit non-profits and churches to speak out and spend money directly for the defeat of ballot issues. Right now, your most important tool is your voice of encouragement. Your people will make the difference for Ohio on November 3rd. Yes, this will make the fifth defeat of casinos. Yes, they may try again but they are counting on you giving up and walking away. How can we do that when real human lives are at stake and final victory against casinos is so close at hand?
