Connecticut: ACLU “Complains About City’s Favoritism of Salvation Army”

Religion Clause Blog reports that the ACLU is complaining because the Salvation Army has been given the exclusive right to solicit donations at Meriden, Connecticut’s Festival of Silver Lights. “The Salvation Army says that the $1400 collected so far will be used for social services, not religious programming.”
