ACLU: U.S. Still Absent From Women’s Rights Treaty 30 Years After Its Adoption

ACLU: “On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the American Civil Liberties Union called on the U.S. government to finally ratify the treaty. The U.S. signed the treaty in 1980, but it has never been ratified by the Senate.”
