MI: Gulfport Council halts permits for adult businessesSun Herald: “The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a six-month moratorium on permits for adult-oriented businesses and tattoo parlors. Councilman R. Lee Flowers said the moratorium was probably proposed because businessman Barry Artz applied for a permit to open an adult bookstore near a Gulfport School District building where General Equivalency Diploma examinations are held, meaning teenagers could be exposed to the business.”
