Lake Local students on a mission for God

Canton Repository: “Since August, Lake Local school officials have wrestled with the phrase ‘belief in God,’ which has been in the district’s value statement for years. The Freedom From Religion Foundation contends that using the phrase violates the First Amendment of the Constitution . . . Residents have attended board meetings and urged the district to fight the change. They referred the school board to conservative legal organizations, including the American Center for Law & Justice, the Alliance Defense Fund and the Liberty Counsel.”
