About Joseph J. Martins

Joseph Martins serves as litigation staff counsel with the Alliance Defense Fund at its Regional Service Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Since joining ADF in 2007, he has focused his litigation on protecting religious freedom and freedom of speech for students, faculty, and staff at America’s public colleges and universities. Prior to his service with ADF, Martins practiced as a staff attorney for the National Legal Foundation. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and is admitted to the bar in North Carolina.
