CT: St. Luke’s drops Crusaders mascot after 40 years

The New Canaan Advertiser: “[W]hen alumni of St. Luke’s School were told last week the school mascot, the Crusader, was being retired this month, many objected . . . ‘In the process of reviewing all that data, one of the things that we discovered that was unique about the school was that sense of community. That we hold that as a value very highly,’ he said. Henson said in light of that sense of community, ‘we wanted something more inclusive than the Crusader.’”
